Indianapolis | 60 Days of Jetting

|

If you’re expecting a small deserted Midwestern town with a lifeless city center, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with what you find instead. Indianapolis is discovering a whole new life with a bustling downtown that’s filled with all the new buildings and old buildings in a constantly developing mix. Of course, downtown only spans about four square blocks, but despite its small stature, it really has a wonderful feel.

We drove down from Chicago to Indianapolis in Steve’s Prius on a Friday afternoon, cruising past the familiar expanses of cornfields and barn houses and stretches of nothing but trees– the good ‘ole Midwest. We were there to shoot our first wedding as the brand new videography team, Seaglass Cinema. That’s right– we started a videography company. Photography is one thing, but video requires a whole new set of considerations about tracking motion, manual focus, capturing audio, and more. Erin and Nick were incredibly nice to let us come shoot their wedding despite our never having done anything of the sort before.

While we still haven’t edited the footage, I will say that it looks incredibly promising, and as soon as we have something concrete to share, trust me– you’ll see it here first!

So here’s to an unexpectedly amazing little city and the beginnings of a new venture. For now, I leave you all with this shot of me by my partner in crime, Steve Wang.
