Silvia & James’ Engagement Session | Legion of Honor | San Francisco Engagement Photography
Sometimes, it rains. Literally, metaphorically, sometimes we have to adapt and change our plans. With some things going on in Silvia’s life and forecasts of rain for the week, we seriously considered cancelling the engagement shoot. But I am so very glad we didn’t.
It became a reprieve from the rest of the world, a chance for Silvia and James to sink into one another and feel the weight of love and support they had for each other. Dare I say it was actually fun despite the freezing cold rain?
We met at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, opting for at least some shelter to begin with. Some of these first images don’t even betray the gray dingy weather for a second. I especially love the sapphire blue of Silvia’s dress.
After an outfit change, the rain really started coming down. But by then, these two were already committed to the role. Silvia even wanted to run around sans umbrella, to the protests of James’ brother.
So we were a little bit soggy, but none the worse for it. Thank you so much Silvia & James, for sticking it through. I absolutely loved shooting with you and am so glad we didn’t cancel in the end. And for all of you non-Californians out there– See? It is not always sunshine and blue skies here either. But there is plenty of love and dedication to go around.
Shout-out to James’ brother and my friend Young for helping out and holding umbrellas and coats. Couldn’t have done it without you.
