I love magnolia trees. Every spring on campus, these big trees with their waxy leaves would burst into bloom, the big white flowers throwing their fragrance into the air. Last year while back at Duke, I seized the opportunity to photograph Karson, a beautiful ballerina, on East Campus with one of these bold trees. It’s a scene out of a story book.
