More Philly adventures! I was back in Philly again this month, hanging out with Justin and exploring the city. Here is an assortment of snapshots from around town. To kick it off, the Free Library of Philadelphia. I went in search of a book on Robert Mapplethorpe’s “The Perfect Moment” exhibit that toured the country in 1990, because my photograph got accepted to be in a retrospective/follow-up exhibit next month in Cincinnati. More on that to come!
Colman lets people into his apartment by throwing down the keys from the fourth floor. Effective, if a bit surprising if you don’t see it coming, haha.
Old City:
Brick & Mortar.
The Random Tea Room.
Miniature crabs (which you eat whole) at Fork.
Free tour at the Mint! (But no photos inside). Pretty cool though. Most coins in circulation come from the Philadelphia Mint.
And then I visited City Hall for its $7 tour up to the top of the tower.
After you purchase a ticket for the tour, they direct you around the corner, up an elevator, and into a holding room where you wait to go up, four at a time.
The view from inside the clock tower as you go up the tiny elevator.
Philly!
Next up, a whole blog post just about all the art I checked out while I was in Philly!
