Portrait Party | June, 2016
I’m thrilled to share the second in my series of Portrait Parties. The idea is very simple: I gather a small group of people, we throw ourselves a little party, and I take portraits of everyone. Each participant contributes to the party too, and we all get to connect with each other without the pressures of large-group networking.
For this portrait party, I invited a small group of fellow wedding vendors: Christine of Christine Olmstead (painter), Christina of Makeup by Quis, Kayla of Kayla F Photography, and Satra of Events by Satra. We also had some bonus florals from Natalie Bowen Designs in the studio.
Thank you to Kayla for all of these first few photos and Satra for the delicious snacks.

Awesome shot by Kayla of Christina behind the scenes.
Christine was just visiting California from the DC area, and I was excited to be able to loop her in on this portrait party. She was able to quickly paint us a gorgeous backdrop to use with our portraits; an impressive feat in such a short amount of time. I love her sense of color and her use of gold foil in her abstract paintings.
