Summer in the Bay! And more art-filled adventures. Here is just a glimpse of what June and July looked like for me.

I got back to the Bay just in time for the Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley featuring a whole panel on Taiwan. Author Shawna Yang Ryan signs some books, while Ho Chie browses the awesome free library they made in the middle of a park.

Met up with my friend Rachael and ran into a few other wedding vendors here at the Women and Whiskies happy hour.

And The Archery, which is a new coworking spot in the Mission. Beautiful knot work by Windy Chien, who has a studio there.

My cousin Theresa just moved to the Bay too, joining her brother and parents. Everyone’s coming out west!

Here’s our June “Tuesdays Together” San Francisco meeting: a bunch of creative entrepreneurs get together, valuing community over competition. This meetup was held at Cambria, which makes beautiful quartz countertops. Such a cool space.

I brought Dan and Jeri to the SFMOMA for their first visit (and my third). Love seeing other people react to art.

Hahaha to the perfectly positioned guy who was walking around with his arms like that the entire time.

Tiffany had a weekday off, so we went on some #annatifftime adventures together! First, we went to the Asian Art Museum and checked out the traveling exhibit that was visiting from Taipei. We’d both seen that super famous stone carving made to look like pork belly when it was in Taiwan, but this was the first time we got to view it without the crowds.

Next, Tiffany’s first time inside City Hall.

And then we checked out Boba Guys’ new flagship store in Hayes Valley and chatted with our friend/the owner Andrew for a while about business, politics, tea, Taiwan, etc.

Then Andrew whipped up a brand new concoction not yet on the menu: the blueberry matcha tea. Yum.

Finally, a wonderful TAF dinner at Great China in Berkeley. Man, this place used to be a great hole-in-the-wall but now it’s all upscale and elegant… and still delicious!
