Anna Wu Photography is celebrating 10 years in business this month! In honor of the anniversary, we’re catching up with past clients to see where they are now in our “After I Do” series.

Today, we catch up with Serena and Cliff, who were wed at Crystal Springs and CuriOdyssey October 24, 2015.

So… How has life has changed in the last couple years?

We’re not sure we can say a lot has changed in the 1.5 years we’ve been married, but we’ve been doing a bunch of traveling since then (Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, NYC, Texas) Hoping to squeeze in New Zealand and a few more travels sometime later this year!

What is an unexpected lesson or a challenge you’ve had to overcome in the last 2 years?

We’ve learned to communicate to each other better, especially about the small things. It’s important to talk about the small things before they get any bigger.

Do you ever look back at your wedding photos? Do you have any favorite images from your wedding day?

Of course! We have one framed in our hallway where we can see every day:


One of our most favorite is the wedding party lightsaber battle we had in the park. It really captured how much fun we all had despite the constant bursts of gusty winds that seem to have come out of nowhere.

And….we’re actually watching our wedding video right now….for the third time in a row!

Looking back on your wedding day, is there anything you wish you had known or done differently?

I wish I had a clearer idea of what I wanted because I ended up wanting to do so much, it became overwhelming. But now that I think of it, I wouldn’t take back anything from our wedding day. It was not only memorable, but fun for the both of us and our family and friends and that’s all that matters. Also, definitely utilize the help from your family and friends early on.

Any advice for couples who are about to get married?

Don’t worry about the little details just enjoy your wedding day because that one day will go by in a blink of an eye

Do or do not…there is no try! (You gotta commit and just got for it!)

Top three hopes or things you are looking forward to in your future?

Remodeling our home
Seeing ourselves grow with each other and in our professional careers
Start our own family of little padawans
