Joshua Tree Portraits
In mid-October, five of us got in a minivan and drove across California to head to Joshua Tree. It was the middle of a busy travel and work season for all of us, but it was so wonderfully restorative to be in the desert with these wacky looking trees and the company of these awesome women. Plus, to be honest, we all spent a hearty amount of time working on our laptops while we were there. So, as Do-Hee called it, this was our Joshua Tree workation. And of course when you pile together three photographers (plus a graphic designer, and a calligrapher) some photos are bound to happen. I love that without explicitly coordinating any of this, we produced some pretty great photoshoots. You wouldn’t even know that it was freezing cold with gale force winds. Below are my portraits of each of the ladies!
Meet Brianne of Brown Fox Calligraphy. It looks like we stole her from a country band.
Here’s Cassie of Cassie Valente Photography, all sunshine and pink hair!
A little behind the scenes moment of Cassie photographing a double exposure of Courtney.
And here’s Courtney of Photoflood Studio, so chic and stylish.
And here is Do-Hee of Shoppe Theory. She looks like she just belongs here with this perfect color palette.
Finally, a little peek at some of my photos taken by Courtney!
Thank you ladies for being so wonderful. A full recap of our road trip is coming up soon…
