Bay Area Adventures | October, 2019

Let’s take a look back at October: a month filled with delicious meals, lovely gatherings, and a pumpkin patch!

First off, I had a meeting with a team at Pinterest! Here’s a view of SF from their roof deck.

Working on my Pinfluencer ambitions…

Dinner at Besharam.

I got to host this month’s Office of Accountability at Alex’s place. Complete with flowers clipped from the garden! And an outing to get lunch from Cafe Okawari afterwards.

Accountability ladies.

My last couple plein air painting classes were in October. Here’s my little painting from Old Borges Ranch in Walnut Creek.

These two came to my orchestra concert! And we got dinner at Nido afterwards.

Another painting session, this time in Benicia.

Late summer bbq party.

Brunch at bon, nene.

Fleet week in San Francisco! We took a free tour of this ship, the USS Somerset, named in memoriam of Flight 93 which crashed in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

Oh, just holding a grenade launcher.

Trying out a chopper.

Looking back at SF.

Then it was pumpkin patch time! Time to go down to Half Moon Bay.

All the pumpkins!

Lean In group! And Kait with her stack of cards we gave her.

Girls’ lunch at Um.ma.

And Tartine just down the street!

Boba date with Do-Hee as she models my new drink carriers. I made them out of the long skinny tote bags that come with Sunny Hills pineapple cakes.

Checking out the new Fort Point outpost on Valencia.

Such a beautiful space!

Our monthly outing to Cerf Club– the last one of this year! They only had oysters for us this time, no full menu.

So we went to Lers Ros for second dinner afterwards.

Alex and I were originally supposed to spend the weekend in Healdsburg, but we got cancelled by the Kincaid Fire. Instead, we opted for an at-home feast with Do-Hee, Josh, Cassie. and Michael. Pretty great!

Do-Hee and Josh got Kumamoto, Kusshi, and Miyagi oysters from the market. And made grilled shrimp tacos too.

Dodging the heat and smoke, we had our paint date at Ikea!

And last but not least, a meal with family at Great China– on Halloween Day.

Bye, October! See you next year.
