Ukiah Portraits
Hello from week two of shelter-in-place. Let’s travel back in time, exactly three weeks ago, when we were still on a small retreat up in Ukiah: five photographers and a designer from our Office of Accountability. We enjoyed home cooked meals, a day at the spa, and then came back to photograph new portraits for each other. It brings me so much joy to see these beautiful faces. I’m grateful to this community for still being my foundation in these times, even if from afar, on our Slack channel and over our videochats. Miss you ladies!
Not entirely sure who took these portraits of me (we were sharing cameras too), but I think it was Cassie on the first two and Chelsea on the second two. Thank you!
Beautiful Do-Hee, alternating her serious mode and quirky mode, as in real life. This is why we love her. She’s also an incredibly hard worker. I miss our weekly OrangeTheory and work dates.
And Cassie rocking her pink hair, the most articulate and generous educator, always going out of her way to share knowledge with her peers and others. She constantly worries about being kinder to others but really should just be kinder to herself.
Chelsea, lover of the outdoors. Often quiet about her own struggles, but so generous with others. Constantly underestimating herself. I’m sure you’re missing your weekly soccer games, but I’m glad to see you’re still getting out to your local trails, Chels!
Courtney, always the world’s busiest human but always wanting to help with more. Please take this mandatory break and give yourself an actual break. Also the best giggles at the corniest jokes.
Meg, full of quiet compassion and the best energy. Congratulations on your recent branding & website redesign! And being one of 12 destination photographers featured by Kodak Professionals this week!
And now, some behind the scenes. Many photographers, many cameras, many smiles.
The best squad.
Thank you to the Office of Accountability for becoming the office of sanity during this crazy season. See y’all soon on the internet. And eventually, we’ll all be back together to give big hugs in person.
Support each of these small business owner women!
