A Weekend Getaway in Truckee

Back in March, we hopped in the car for a little weekend getaway to the mountains. We’re incredibly lucky to be able to just opt in to a couple days of winter when we feel like it and then return to the Bay Area where it’s spring again. Alex got to sneak in a couple days of snowboarding, while I perused the cute shops in Truckee, and we both enjoyed our cozy little cabin nearby.

We also paid a visit to the spot where half the Donner Party was stranded for so long, and where so many did not make it.

And then a little jaunt down to Lake Tahoe.
