Cassie’s Birthday | San Francisco Portraits

I am so incredibly grateful for the community of women that I have here in San Francisco. There are so many people, local or not, who have held me up through the pandemic, but over and over again, it’s Cassie, Courtney, and Do-Hee who are always, unceasingly there for me — and for each other. This month, we got to celebrate both Cassie and Courtney as they each turned thirty (babies!).

Weeks ago, unrelated to her birthday, Cassie mentioned wanting new headshots, with a simple backdrop, a stool or other simple props, and maybe some flowers. So when she decided to throw herself a birthday party, Courtney and I got to scheming to make her portrait dreams come true. Many thanks to Amanda Vidmar for the beautiful flowers – and the backdrops too. Cassie, I hope you enjoyed our surprise, and moreso, I hope you love all of these photographs — these reminders of how much you are loved — for years and years to come. Happy Birthday!

I must also give both Courtney and Jackson so much credit for the behind-the-scenes attention-getting for the camera. They are true professionals. Dogs, babies, if you need anyone to look at the camera, these folks are your best bet.
