Bay Area | October, 2022

Let’s take a peek back at October of last year. Better late than never? We started off with a visit to Reeve in Healdsburg.

Really enjoyed seeing all the special types of garlic at the Healdsburg Farmers Market. We got two to try, and they did taste different!

Little Saint, before it switched over in ownership. And our favorite chili crisp we first discovered via the farmers market… now available in SF through Dumpling Club!

Stopping by the SingleThread farm stand.

And getting a drink from the Montage.

October means the end of baseball season! And I’m also finishing up my puff quilt, the season-long knitting project. Perhaps I’ll eventually get around to writing a post just about that.

Happy Anniversary to Dan & Jeri! And how cute is Buster in his Giants jersey?

Rock concert on a weekday!

Wedding dress shopping with my besties and new mini bestie.

A visit to Oakland…

because the Yaus are in town!

Horn BBQ, followed by Orbit Coffee & Donuts.

We “babysat” for a few hours so Cassie and Michael could go watch a drag show in Oakland, but it really only involved hanging out with Rusty while the baby slept soundly upstairs. So easy! Haha.

More dress shopping! This was not the dress in the end, but how fun.

Lunch date with Rebecca! And another squishy little one.

TOP TEN WILDEST COINCIDENCES IN LIFE: We parked at the mall, and I glanced up and was about to say “oh, that car looks kind of like my old Mazda,” when I saw the license plate and realized THAT IS MY OLD MAZDA!!! I traded it in years ago, expecting it to be junked. Instead, it turned up five years later at Santana Row. It even still has the ghost of my old Duke sticker. Wows.

And then we went in to the mall to go design Alex’s wedding suit. Plus, back to No.3 for wedding bands!

Here were two possibilities for me, neither of which I ultimately went with. First one was too chunky and second one was ultimately too asymmetrical, although so pretty!

Interlude to go to Nashville for Whitney’s bachelorette! Thanks to Dorothea for making the cute signage and buying all the bachelorette decor accoutrements.

Night one: Honky Tonk row.

Day two: making candles!

The iconic Ryman Auditorium.

Our uber driver turned out to be a rolling disco ball with karaoke and a golden microphone… and it took us to dinner and duckpin bowling!

Just a quick jaunt, and a very lovely sunset going back.

Babies & breweries.

Scouting our ceremony location.

More friends visiting from LA!

Trivia night with Dan & Jeri. And wedding shopping again, this time for accessories. Didn’t end up getting this veil either.

Got his band and his watch!

Halloween with the Valentes, and cake tasting from Butter&.

Finally a wonderful meal at Cafe Ohlone.
