San Francisco Crosstown Trail, Section 4
Alex and I embarked on section four of five of the Crosstown Trail back in November, squeezing it in before we left on our travels for the rest of the year. Section four took us from the Sunset up through the Richmond via a cross section of Golden Gate Park. Not the most spectacular part of the Crosstown, perhaps. But easy enough!
This was basically a hike from 19th Ave up through Blue Heron Lake in Golden Gate Park, and up Park Presidio.
Scenes from Blue Heron Lake.
You could spend days just hiking around Golden Gate Park and still not see everything there is to see.
Emerging on car-free JFK.
Redwoods and a rose garden on the way out.
Walking along the little greenway sandwiched between Park Presidio (a veritable highway) on the left and the houses on the right.
Just 2.3 miles for this section! Not very exciting, but it was fine. Just one more leg to go!
