Muir Woods | California Lifestyle Photography
We walked amidst giants. The trees towered over us, scenting the air with that distinctive redwood smell. We breathed it in, grateful for this salubrious excursion outside the city. It was the perfect Presidents’ Day adventure with three of my friends, all newcomers to San Francisco.
We kick it off with some images from the day before, when I met Tiffany in her new Alamo Square neighborhood. She just moved here last week.
Tiffany came with me to meet Jiongyi and his girlfriend Tamara for pizza at Zero Zero.
On Monday, we met up with Derek and Justin for lunch and our day trip to Muir Woods. This was Derek’s first time crossing the Golden Gate.
Muir Woods is only 40 minutes north of San Francisco, and it’s an easy hike with well-maintained boardwalks running through it.
The trees all inspired the same reaction from Tiffany, Justin, and Derek.
The tree on the left below looks like a face! With eyes closed, nose pointed to the left.
A perfect day in the San Francisco Bay Area.
