Seattle | Travel Photography
I visit Seattle pretty regularly but it had been two years since my last visit, so when the opportunity came up to pick a west coast destination for Memorial Day, we flew on over to Seattle. As always, it was a wonderful time with delicious eats and good friends!
Our first stop from the airport: The Whale Wins.
Margaret and Eric hosted us at their house in Bellevue.
That night, we went to sleep early so we could get up at 6am and go to Victoria. After a couple days in Victoria and Vancouver, we drove back down to Seattle. Sunday’s brunch was at Facing East, a delicious Taiwanese restaurant in Bellevue.
My third beef noodle soup of this trip!
Then it was on to touristy time at Pike Place. We asked a stranger to take our photo… not exactly in focus, but you get the gist!
Our one-year dating-versary gifts to ourselves: peonies for me; blueberry piroshky for Jesse.
Then we visited Theo chocolates in Fremont and ate lots of samples.
Afternoon tea at Remedy Tea.
An awesome dinner at Mamnoon, a new restaurant with Middle Eastern cuisines. We met up with Jessica, whom we first met in Japan last year, and her boyfriend Will. We all exchanged “how we met” stories and had a great time– the perfect one-year anniversary dinner!
Last day in Seattle: some play time with Berkeley the dog!
Lunch at Il Corvo
Ada’s Technical Books– bookstore & cafe.
And finally, a reunion with some high school friends.
Left to right: Hsin-I, Daniel, and their daughter Kaylin; Sandy and David, who just moved from Boston to Seattle; and Jesse and me!
