This cozy little cafe is one of my new favorite tea spots in the Bay Area. Located on San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley, Far Leaves Tea serves traditional Asian teas in a quiet setting. It can be a little confusing to enter the space at first; they seem to have quite a loyal following of regulars, but the best bet is to ask for a menu, pick out a tea that you can order at the counter, and find a seat. They’ll bring the set to you, complete with a kettle of hot water that you can reheat at your station, and you can wait to pay at the end. My favorite seats are the tatami style tables on a raised platform in the back.
