Karen & Casey | San Francisco Wedding Photography
Karen and Casey are such a warm, down-to-earth couple. Though they live together in Philadelphia, they traveled to San Francisco to be wed near where Karen grew up, and after the wedding, they embarked on a cross-country road trip, visiting as many National Parks as possible on their way back to Pennsylvania. Sounds like an amazing and unique honeymoon experience! The wedding day was filled with adorable details like these green dinosaur pumps (amazing!), animal details that serve as a callback to when they both worked at the Philadelphia Zoo together, and many beautiful Jewish traditions as well. A beautiful day through and through.
Such a cute bunny bracelet and giraffe earrings!
Gorgeous bride.
Seriously, those dino shoes! Easily the most unique wedding shoes I’ve seen.
Prior to the ceremony, the bride and groom and their families had the signing of the ketubah, or the marriage contract, including this nonverbal confirmation of assent. (Lift the pen above your head to show agreement).
Katharina Stuart did a beautiful job with the chuppah and all the florals.
In Jewish tradition, each boy or girl receives a prayer shawl at their bar/bat mitzvah at the age of 13. They come in many colors and designs, but look at how perfectly matched Karen and Casey’s are! Same design, coordinating colors.
I love the retro postcard designs of the table cards. On the back was a custom omlette order form for each guest. Perfect for this brunch wedding!
And of course, the hora dance!
Not at all terrified.
Another fun part of this brunch wedding: a waffle tower with a unity syrup ceremony.
And since everything wrapped by the afternoon, we got to run over to Fort Point to catch some windy portraits just before they closed for the day. Plus Karen and Casey got to collect a stamp for their national parks passport books to commemorate their wedding date.
Love that light.
Perfect. Congratulations, Karen & Casey! Such a wonderful day.
