I spotted a facebook post from my friend Maki one day looking for a NYC photographer to capture some family portraits since her family would be visiting her there. She had just moved to New York from San Francisco not long ago, and her parents would be visiting from Ohio and her grandfather visiting from Japan, so this seemed like a great chance to document the mini reunion.
In a wonderful stroke of serendipity, I was actually stationed in Philadelphia for the month, so I was able to hop over to New York for a quick day trip. I had so much fun catching up with Maki and photographing her family with the autumn leaves in Central Park.
