Bay Area | March, 2023

|

Hello March! We went to both Arizona and Wyoming in this month, but there were so many wonderful little gatherings around the Bay Area too. Let’s jump right in!

Monthly accountability meeting, with some folks gathering in Oakland and the rest of us joining from the internet.

Dinner and mahjong with the Garrisons, featuring some of Alex’s beer he made starting in January.

Brunch with Rebecca

An outing to the Warriors game, with an additional side outing to the new Ballast Point brewery location.

And here we are on tv, look closely at the middle of the screen, haha.

We went to Union Square to check out the free tulips event, but it was way too crazy, so we just looked at them from above instead.

New subway station at Yerba Buena!

We went over to East Bay for an Oakland day– my friend Fernanda had her artwork showing at Mars Record Shop. Perfect combo, art and records!

Got this whole box set of Beethoven Symphonies!

Duke-UNC game watch! We won!

And over to Viridian. It’s been a long time since we last visited!

This was so lovely– we went back to our first date spot! Bar Shiru.

Followed by takeout from Pintoh, where we first went to dinner together after that Bar Shiru date.

Trying the new Indian spot Copra. We had a less than stellar experience, but I’m hoping a lot of that was just new restaurant issues that have since been smoothed out?

En route to Arizona! This was a pretty nice airport lounge meal, duck noodle soup.

Fast forward back in San Francisco, a new Visa building being put together in Mission Bay.

Fog City Flea at the Ferry Building. We got a couple of our very cute tiny bowls from here for our wedding favors.

Biking with flowers in the basket, feels right!

Lunch with Alex’s friends Alex and Jean.

More record shops! Grooves on Market.

The Kehinde Wiley exhibit opening at the de Young Museum.

Sidewalk Flowers re-opening party! My favorite little flower shop, over in Cole Valley, SF.

We got a peek into the Gotham Club at Oracle Park. It’s a members only club, and you get access to their clubhouse behind the manually-updated scoreboards and also this secret bowling alley within the ballpark. We didn’t join but might in the future!

Baby Valente is wishing Uncle Alex a happy birthday! And Steph delivers the cake, with a giant scented candle in lieu of birthday candles, haha.

Another birthday dinner! With the Garrisons, at Ethel’s Fancy in Palo Alto.

And scenes from the plane ride back from Jackson, Wyoming. I spy Half Dome, Yosemite!

California Academy of Sciences with the Tang family, visiting from Michigan!

Using my new Idaho yarn I picked up in Wyoming, and knitting Alex a pair of gloves during our mahjong night.

Jeri measures the Jeep, since we asked her to source and plan some decorations for it as our wedding getaway vehicle!

Wedding stationery flat lays with the flat lay queen! I brought all of our invitations designed by Do-Hee, plus some of the tiny bowls we already sourced and some loose flowers from Ash + Oak, and Cassie styled them all into flat lays for me. Will share these someday!

And finally, an annatifftime chat.

What a month!
