Kana & Alek | Filoli Proposal Photography
This was a very sweet proposal, though we would find out that it was not entirely a surprise to Kana, but that’s ok! She was on to Alek all along and had her exact dress planned and donned for the occasion. If she didn’t already know it was happening at Filoli, the fact that he led her in a giant circle around the entire estate claiming to be looking for a particular “very famous spot” certainly didn’t help to assuage her suspicions. Despite my carefully drawn maps and diagrams, Alek apparently gets lost all the time and had no idea where he was going. Luckily I spotted them from afar, walking in exactly the wrong direction, and redirected him back via a quick text. Once Alek found the spot, it was all very heartfelt and wonderful, and of course, she said yes. Congratulations, Kana & Alek!
The engagement ring is Alek’s mother’s! So sweet.
