Alice & Arthur | Cincinnati Art Museum Wedding Photography
I was there, along with fifty mutual friends, when Alice and Arthur first hit it off in Vegas. It might not have been the most obvious place for a serious relationship to take hold, but for Alice and Arthur, it was enough. A week after Vegas, they met up in NYC for a whirlwind three-day first date. Again it could have gone very badly, but of course it didn’t. We all knew it was serious soon after when Alice moved to Cincinnati to live with Arthur after she had been living in Taiwan (and NYC briefly). Two years after they first met, it was time for another group Vegas trip, and this time, Arthur proposed. Alice cried uncontrollably and said yes. By the time Alice finally recovered, Arthur pointed out the ruby gemstone on the side of the ring. The ruby was her mother’s birthstone. She had passed away while Alice was in college. Of course, a second round of tears commenced. Alice had always looked for that feeling of home and belonging. Her closest friends are her chosen family. And now she would have that in Arthur for life. Their wedding was a celebration of exactly that friendship and love that had brought them together.
Alice has impeccable taste. I loved every detail she chose for her wedding day.
The rings! Including that little ruby on the side of Alice’s engagement ring in honor of her mother. The extra Cartier band on top was a gift from Alice’s father.
Beautiful bouquet by Una Floral. And the most incredible wedding shoes. Like angel wings taking flight!
Beautiful outfits befitting a girl’s best squad, including her bridesman.
Arthur’s groomsmen all got matching black Nikes.
Alice and her bridal party got ready at the 21C Museum Hotel while Arthur and his groomsmen got ready at their apartment nearby.
Alice heads to the first look!
A beautiful descent to go see her groom.
Karen and the bridesmaids try to spy on them from above.
;) Don’t worry Arthur, you’re not ugly. But thanks for being a good sport!
Roll out! We headed to Eden Park for some photos.
A big red “A” for Alice and Arthur! As we were taking this last photo, it began to rain, so we ran back inside just as the downpour commenced. Perfect timing!
Ceremony time at the beautiful Cincinnati Art Museum. Alice was walked down the aisle by her brother, since her father wasn’t able to make it from Taiwan.
This was King Arthur’s big reveal: trumpets as their ‘house sigil’ banner was rolled down above them. So fun!
Plus a champagne toast and an exit to Game of Thrones music!
Three wedding cakes! And lavender with the place cards to honor Alice’s mother. It was her favorite scent.
I did a same-day slideshow for Alice and Arthur during the reception. Love seeing the crowd reactions.
A lovely first dance.
Arthur dances with his mom.
Alice dances with her brother.
Party time!
Congratulations, Alice & Arthur! It was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day.
