Lauren & Jonathan | San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Lauren and Jonathan first met through mutual friends in Knoxville, Tennessee. They knew each other for a year before Jonathan struck up a conversation with Lauren at a concert and soon thereafter asked her out on a breakfast date on a Wednesday. Unique move, for sure. From there it was a whirlwind romance that soon had Lauren moving to Los Angeles for a work opportunity and Jonathan taking the leap to leave the only home he’d ever known in Knoxville to join her, with their two big dogs in tow. They have grown together over the last three years and now they are tying the knot while journeying together on an epic road trip that will eventually bring them back to Knoxville to start the rest of their lives together.

Part one of their wedding celebrations started in San Francisco City Hall. I took Lauren’s love of movement, gestures, and abstraction, and I ran with it. We made such fun and unique portraits together. Love.

If you look closely through the Muni windows, you can read the words “City Hall” right between Lauren and Jonathan’s faces.
