Nicola & Zach | The Pearl, San Francisco

Nicola and Zach got engaged just months before the pandemic hit. While they conceded that a large celebration would not happen right away, they were determined to be wed, and despite a second lockdown in California, they managed to tie the knot at the end of 2020, on the side of a highway, with a 7-Eleven bouquet in hand. Two years later, it was finally time for the big wedding they’ve long been dreaming of. I absolutely loved the warm connections between everyone at the wedding, the joyous smiles, and the beautiful theme of wildflowers throughout, for Nicola’s favorite song, Tom Petty’s “Wildflower.”

We began the day at Hotel Via, where Nicola and Zach each got ready with their wedding party attendants.

Then we all headed to Crane Cove Park for the bride and groom’s ‘first look.’

Nicola’s face always betrays exactly what she’s feeling, and it was so fun to watch her expressions on this day.

Then it was a short walk over to the wedding venue at The Pearl.

A beautiful flower-filled setup on the roof.

The flower boy gets an assist by the Best Man Kory.

Absolute joy!

Back inside, the main floor was set for a beautiful dinner reception.

A little ring detail featuring Nicola’s favorite flower, the black eyed anemone.

Congratulations, Nicola & Zach!
