A & A | Skirball Cultural Center Los Angeles Wedding
On an absolutely beautiful day under the clear blue sky, A & A spoke of the stars and the universe and all the forces that conspired to bring them together. Theirs was a union of souls, families, and timelines. Every part of the wedding was carefully considered and selected for this moment, especially the setting, which was chosen to honor the bride’s late mother who loved lily ponds. Myriad little details combining into one wonderful day.
I love seeing mirrored preparations across these multiple timelines, as the bride and the groom got ready separately before seeing each other.
And finally, they get to see each other for the ‘first look.’
Such dapper gents!
And some bride’s attendants’ antics!
Then it was time for the ceremony in the grand courtyard, in front of the lily pond.
The bride was escorted by her brother for a very grand entrance, descending from upstairs down to the ceremony level and all the way around the courtyard.
She stopped for a moment’s tribute to her late father and mother before coming down the aisle.
Many photos were displayed in honor of the generations of love that came before them.
Including a blurry corner of one of my photos, from the groom’s sister’s wedding a few years ago.
That just-married feeling!
A grand entrance into the ballroom! The couple commissioned a custom logo from Brown Fox Calligraphy combining their names into a design mimicking the Chinese double happiness character.
Surprise lion dance!
And one last dress change!
Cake cutting with some eager customers awaiting their piece.
And they danced the night away!
Another one of my past wedding couples! It’s such an honor to be referred, and it was so, so lovely to see these two again.
Congratulations, A & A!
