Amanda & Susana | Oakland Wedding Photography

Amanda and Susana have been together for a decade, and they have built a strong and supportive foundation for their lives together in that time. They chose to have a small ceremony and lunch reception at Oakland’s Terrace Room overlooking Lake Merritt, before having a second banquet wedding up in Seattle for family.

A very sweet “first look” for the brides to see each other in the bridal suite.

Amanda’s grandmother started a floral business when she first to immigrated, and her mom did all of the flowers for her wedding, incorporating some pieces that she had saved for decades for this very occasion.

Susana walked down the aisle with her best friend, and Amanda walked down with her father.

A very heartfelt and funny set of vows, including Susana thanking Amanda for teaching her to tie her shoes properly, just recently.

Married!

A beautiful queer rainbow!

Guests were invited to give 60-second toasts, and they were great!

This whole table even did a group nod to the couple’s martial arts interests.

Later that afternoon, I met the newlyweds for some portraits on the Alameda shoreline.

Gorgeous golden hour!

Love, love, love.

Congratulations, Amanda & Susana!
