Albuquerque, New Mexico
As a bit of an epilogue to our stay in New Mexico, we booked just one night at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort And Spa before flying out of Albuquerque the next day. It was a beautiful resort, and an incredible use of our Hyatt free night certificate. View our brief but beautiful stay below, and visit the New Mexico series to see the rest of our trip.
Scenes along the road from Santa Fe to Albuquerque.
A long, long drive brings you from a Tesla dealership over to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort, and it’s a spectacular reveal to see this resort tucked amongst the desert trails.
The view from our room.
There are several trails starting from right behind the hotel. We went for a sunset stroll through the bosque — the special type of woods along the Rio Grande, as derived from the Spanish word for forest.
Galleries and programming throughout the hotel share more about the Tamayame people and neighboring pueblos.
Full moon! And dinner in the hotel.
Sunrise the next morning, as seen from our room.
Indian Pueblo Culture Center for lunch and a quick walk through their shop.
A quick walk around the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque…
Cute shops and cafes!
And then it was time to return to the Albuquerque airport and fly home!
Such a wonderful visit to New Mexico.
