San Francisco Crosstown Trail, Section 5
We did it! Almost a year after we started, we finally completed the Crosstown Trail. Our friend Cindy joined Alex and me for this fifth and final leg of the hike, walking from Park Presidio in The Richmond, passing by Baker Beach, and ending at Sutro Baths.
First, we met at Breadbelly in the Richmond for some brunch. It’s conveniently located right near the start of this fifth section.

Walking over to the greenway of Park Presidio. Much sunnier start than we ended on in November!

We dropped in to Mountain Lake Park, which I never even knew existed, at the southern end of the Presidio.

Next, we crossed into the Lobos Creek Valley Trail, which provided some truly magical rolling fog through a valley filled with different greens.

We tucked into a corner of Baker Beach. It’s all a string of familiar photo locations from here on out!

The mansions of Sea Cliff.

Passing by China Beach

And finally, entering Land’s End!

We hiked from the eastern to western end of Land’s End for the finale of the Crosstown Trail.

Each tiny dot is a surfer! We also saw swimmers without wetsuits. Wild!

There is one big set of stairs up and down in the middle of Land’s End, but it’s otherwise a relatively flat coastal trail. A very beautiful walk.

The end! The Sutro Baths Overlook!

We did it!

Celebrating with post-hike dim sum at Dragon Beaux in the Richmond. Thanks for joining us, Cindy!

We had such a lovely experience hiking the entire Crosstown Trail. Some sections were more showy than others, but every single one revealed hidden gems of San Francisco to us. We really enjoyed the whole thing.
