Canon 35mm/1.4 | Gingerbread Houses | Sausalito, California

January 19, 2011January 23, 2011

It was a gorgeous but brisk day when we headed north over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito. I had with me the brand new shiny beautiful lens I had gifted myself, and I was ready to take it for a spin. Below are some of the first images I ever took with my Canon 35mm/1.4. It’s official. I am in love.

I’ll do something I’ve never done before on my blog… share some metadata settings. First off, some boats. ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/500 sec. So sharp!

ISO 100, f/1.4, 1/8000 sec.

Same settings as above. Love the bokeh.

ISO 100, f/1.4, 1/1600 sec.

And then we embarked on a scavenger hunt around Sausalito, looking for all the gingerbread houses in the different stores. Out of 25 houses, we only found 11.

And to round things off, a few more portraits of Ernie and me!
