Bryna & Andrew | Sunol Backyard Wedding Photography

 

It was such a special treat to return to this beautiful Sunol home and photograph my second wedding there. My first wedding at the house was for Bryna’s brother Ryan in 2011. This time, I got to meet and work with Bryna and her groom Andrew. Bryna and Andrew have been together for twelve years, and over half of that was long distance. But they now live together in Seattle and returned to California for the homemade celebration. Family and friends all pitched in on every detail, from the gardening to the flowers to music to the cake. See just a bit of the DIY goodness below:

The bride got ready in her childhood bedroom.

Bryna and her mother, with many other helpers, made the cake and all its edible decorations from scratch.

Bryna and her mom also made soap favors for all the guests.

The cake is topped with two butterflies, one each for Andrew and Bryna’s home states, respectively: the Colorado Hairstreak Butterfly and the California Dogface Butterfly.

Such a love-filled day. Congratulations, Bryna & Andrew!
