Casablanca, Morocco
We piled into the Nissan Pathfinder, six people in the seven-seater and all our luggage strapped on top, and we departed Marrakesh, which was no small feat, with Godwin pulling some very impressive maneuverability skills through the very narrow alleys of the medina. Our destination for day three was Fes, a six-hour drive, but with an afternoon stop in Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque– one of the only mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims.
We arrived just in time to catch the last English language tour of the day at 2pm.
Such ornate architecture everywhere. And the ceiling is designed to slide open! Pretty incredible. The Hassan II Mosque is the largest mosque in Morocco and seventh largest in the world.
The light!
Then it was time to strap the luggage back onto the roof and continue on our way to Fes.
Ikea Casablanca.
Roadside stands…
With yogurt!
Donkeys in a car! Hahaha. My favorite.
