Jeri & Dan | Allied Arts Guild Wedding

Jeri was giving online dating one last shot before she was about to give up on it altogether. She and Dan matched on the Coffee Meets Bagel app. A chat box opened with a prompt: “Do you think the toys from Toy Story would still love Andy in his rebellious teenage years?” Dan answered, “I certainly hope so, otherwise that would be a big Buzz-kill!” Luckily for him, Jeri found it very punny.

They had their first date at Roy’s Cafe, and that first date spot became their anniversary tradition. On their fourth anniversary, Dan proposed, and they began planning for their 2020 wedding. They have celebrated together and challenged each other throughout the last five years, and they never doubted that they would be married, even as a pandemic swept in.

Their original plans for a big winery wedding this October were transformed into a mini wedding at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park. And as a true testament to their teamwork in planning and re-planning this day, the comment of the day was, “This was plan B??”

Truly, it was a day filled with love, joy, warmth, and a sense of gratitude for everything that had brought everyone there, against the odds. What a lovely reminder to embrace every chance we get to celebrate with those we love.

Jeri’s gift to Dan was cufflinks with her handwriting engraved in them.

Such a sweet first look.

Socially distanced ceremony setup!

I love that they still have their dating profiles from when they matched. So cute.

The favors were such cute treats representing Dan and Jeri’s families’ homelands, Philadelphia and the Philippines… The Philly-ppines.

Congratulations, Jeri & Dan!
