A Day Trip to Healdsburg
Wine country in the fall. Here is a little peek at a short day trip we took up to Healdsburg, California, just to pick up some wines and to grab a snack atop Singlethread’s temporary roof bar.
First, a stop at the Petaluma Seed Bank to pick up some new seeds for our spring plantings– and to get seeds for Eileen, my secret santa giftee for our Accountability group.
Reeve Winery, where we’re members. We stopped by to pick up our wines and do a little tasting out on the patio, where we were the only guests.
Then Alex went for a little bike ride around the valley while I jumped on my monthly call with Tiffany in Australia.
Still very cute here at the General Store.
Autumn in the vineyards.
And then we headed to the three-starred Michelin restaurant Singlethread, which we’ve still never fully dined at, but we previously tried their takeout (highly recommend). This time we were here to try their temporary roof garden, which was a wine bar of sorts.
Lovely.
We don’t really dine out these days, and I’d personally still prefer takeout to the dine-in experience, even though this rooftop bar was very lovely at sunset. But here’s hoping everything becomes safer for all, sooner rather than later.
Dessert was definitely the best part of the dining experience.
