Neera & Jeff | Sikh Gurdwara San Jose Wedding
After a very fun sangeet, Neera and Jeff had their wedding ceremony at the San Jose Gurdwara, which is the largest Sikh temple outside of India.
Neera got ready in her family home, while Jeff got ready at a nearby hotel. I love the parallel preparations they were having, apart but together in spirit.
For the baraat, the groom’s family approached the front of the temple, where the bride’s family were gathered to greet them.
The families exchanged garlands.
And then it was time to negotiate the price of admittance for the groom’s side.
A deal is struck, some treats are given, and the ribbon is cut!
After a leisurely breakfast for all of the guests, it was time for the religious ceremony inside the temple.
And afterwards, some portraits and a delicious lunch spread!
A beautiful, traditional ceremony filled with love and family. Coming soon– the finale of this beautiful wedding!
