Raquel & Ben | Stanford Surprise Proposal

A warm and wonderful congratulations to Raquel and Ben! I absolutely love surprise proposals, and this one was an incredibly sweet one, complete with lots of tears and laughter. Ben reached out with his ideas for this Stanford proposal, and despite a last-minute pivot on the exact location due to some poorly placed construction fencing, everything went according to the backup plan. Raquel said she knew something was up as soon as Ben got the same serious look on his face that he had when he first asked her to be his girlfriend. But it was all still a wonderful surprise, and I am so happy to have been a small part of it.

Ben had not only asked Raquel’s mom for her blessing, but he had also asked her for help with the ring.

After the initial shock of the proposal, we were able to walk around campus together and photograph these two at some of the spots that were most meaningful to them.

This bench is where they found themselves talking for hours on their first date!

And the law school is where Raquel was a student when they first met.
