Bay Area | April, 2025
At home in the month of April. Starting it off with a virtual accountability meeting.

Matt Chapman bobblehead day with the Giants.

Golden State 5k! I walked most of it, but I was proud to do it at all as I was starting my third trimester.

Brunch at Rabbit Hole. And stroller shopping with my mom– and a surprisingly unhelpful salesperson.

Free NA beers and free library cards for library day pre-game at China Basin Park.

Check-in videochat. Looks like I was calling in from Tokyo.

Finishing up my first outfit for baby girl, hand knit to/from/in Tokyo! So cute, and I love the frilly ruffles.

This would end up being just the first of so many outfits I would make baby girl.

New Flour + Water Pizzeria at Mission Rock! And Tokyo haul plus market strawberries. A green tea, Glitch Hario pot, Muji trivet, and Sunny Hills strawberry cakes.

Second outfit for baby! This one was a hoodie romper from a knit fabric I bought in Tokyo.

Cityscapes from the North Bay.

Knitting outfit three, a grey dress with free pattern from Purl Soho.

Bumpin along! Going out to dinner with friends. Our quarterly dinner is usually at House of Prime Rib, but we pivoted to Miller & Lux to try the steakhouse this time. 4 month old E tagged along!

It was a lovely experience, but HOPR is just such a better value, haha. We went back to that for the next group dinner.

Craft Day! More progress on all my baby outfits!

Knitting that grey dress…

Sewing the hoodie romper…

And I also made another ruffled romper. That’s outfit four, for those counting.

Shopping for some baby furniture at IKEA!

Ruffle romper complete! I had to remember how to make buttonholes, but it’s not too hard!

Hoodie romper also complete. And bunny blanket complete (just finished the edges).

Knitting at the ballpark.

Dinner at Piccino in the Presidio.

Courtney with the BIGGEST REVEAL EVER! We just had that meal with her at Miller & Lux where she ate a rare steak and Cassie kept offering her beef tartare. All along she was already in her second trimester of pregnancy and hadn’t said anything! They did a very cute Easter Egg hunt reveal the next week.

So so cute. And that means all four besties had a baby within the year, very evenly spaced every three months. Pretty incredible. Very grateful.

Baby girl’s wheels, thanks to the in-laws! And me getting a prenatal massage.

Finished the grey knit dress!

Taiwanese takeout with Vince. And trying this Graeter’s / Skyline Chili flavored ice cream… it’s interesting. It’s just the spices in Skyline Chili, which just makes it taste like pumpkin pie. Not bad, not amazing.

That’s it for April! On to the next.
