Bay Area | September, 2022

September! I’m a bit behind on the personal posts, since I haven’t finished sharing the rest of our grand Midwest baseball tour, but I’ll just sneak in this Bay Area post from September and catch up on the rest later!

First, back in the Bay and at the baseball stadium, but not for baseball!

It’s Lady Gaga! Ft. the nearly full moon over San Francisco that night.

Checking out the new fried chicken spot, Birdbox, featuring a claw with every meal.

After returning to TAF this year, I decided I should try to host more gatherings with the TAFers in the Bay Area. So I started off with a Mooncakes in Mission Bay event for Mid-Autumn festival!

We had mooncakes of all kinds, plus on-theme artwork from San Francisco-based Taiwanese American artist Jane Li and candles from TAFer Michelle Hsu (Ilha Candles).

Most of the moon cakes were from Sheng Kee.

Some very cute furry friends were also in attendance!

And the next generation of TAFers too.

So good to see everyone! Will attempt to do it again soon.. like in less than ten years.

Scratching off this year’s new ballpark visits! Alex has now completed 21 of 30!

Clement St. Farmers Market

Foggy Notion + B Star Bar.

San Francisco’s new, most popular park– Tunnel Tops.

Love their interactive discovery center with all sorts of activities for kids.

Getting started with my moon cake candle from Ilha! And massage time with Cassie.

Finishing up the last of my puffs! And wrapping the season for baseball too.

I drew this nice little whale to complete our half-gallon Yeti sets. Yeti Bear and Yeti Whale. Coming along with us on our camping trip in Marin!

Setting up home base at Samuel P. Taylor Park.

Alex’s friends Monica and Heech brought a full-on Korean bbq setup camping. Pretty amazing.

The next day, we went into town at Pt. Reyes Station.

Stopped by and visited Shao Shan Farms and others at the farmers market and then took a little stroll about town.

Cute little honor system farm stand. And our feast for late-afternoon lunch– oysters from Tomales Bay, plus tomato soup and grilled cheese.

A little hike to walk it off.

And then it was time for seafood boil dinner!

Plus, nightime Japanese yams over the fire.

Then we got all rained out, but it was still lovely!

Trivia Night! Quizzie Macguire comes in second place!! Woohoo!

Girls’ lunch date at Cafe Okawari, plus manicures afterwards!

I’m back to Orangetheory after a whole pandemic hiatus! Plus, my fancy spread for our pool party edition of Paint Club!

Completed the puff knitting portion of my project! Now to start joining them into an actual quilt…

Massage day again! And some puffs progress.

A visit to the Valentes! Hi little one!

We went for a stroll around the neighborhood and a kind neighbor offered to take this picture for us.

Hello Kitty bucket hat giveaway at the Giants!

Alyssa Nakkin t-shirt giveaway! Plus, sitting right below the broadcasters.

My puffs made it onto the jumbotron briefly because this couple in front of me was on the kiss cam, haha.

All sorts of adventures! Stay tuned for more, if I ever catch up on the personal blog posts.
