Kate & Mike | The Cliff House | San Francisco Wedding Photography
It was a very chilly day, which is actually typical of our San Francisco summers by the coast. The skies were overcast, and the water a serene pale blue-green. But against the wash of the ocean were bright exclamations of color: a red carpet; the bold blue bridesmaid’s dresses; a radiant bride; and a bubbling sense of celebration. There was something so timelessly romantic about the whole affair– a beautiful couple with such warm, open hearts getting married at The Cliff House overlooking the sea.
There’s something so timelessly romantic about Kate and Mike themselves. They could easily be from a different era, their love story spanning the ages. On another day, they might be camping or relaxing with friends, but on this day they were just off in a little fairytale land together, weaving together their happily ever after.
I absolutely loved the Monte Cristo Bed & Breakfast where Kate and her bridal party got ready. Kate’s Wtoo gown was simply perfect, and this old doorknob in a narrow hallway was a lovely setting for the ring shot.
Kate’s wedding sash was a great etsy purchase. And her bridesmaids (and bride’s man) were a perfect team the entire day!
Did I mention I loved this B&B as a getting-ready venue? The red curtains, the blue bridesmaid’s dresses, and the light… divine.
This was the first time I had a bride and groom do their “first look” inside the getting ready room, and it was actually such a great, intimate setting for them to be able to have a few moments together without feeling rushed. And then we had plenty of time to do portraits before and after the ceremony.
The very romantic florals were by The Delicate Daisy House of Flowers.
