Karla & Bernd | Cliff House, San Francisco Wedding Photography
Karla and Bernd met through mutual friends and sparked their relationship over an evening spent talking on a San Francisco rooftop. They have, in their own words, done everything backwards. They bought a house together seven years ago, they had two beautiful children, and now they’ve decided to do the wedding thing. While they’re two backcountry camping nomads at heart, they found the perfect venue that would be accessible to their family members while still keeping close to the nature that they adore so much. With The Cliff House sitting right on the ocean, it was a classically San Francisco day, with the fog in full force most of the afternoon. But the layer of mist couldn’t dampen the warmth of this celebration one bit.
Karla got ready with her two kids in such a fun vacation rental home with all the creative details. I love seeing all three of their pairs of shoes all together in the closet! And they leaned in to the art deco feeling of the Cliff House, with fun feathers for Karla’s hair.

The tears started early with a song that came over the playlist, triggering some memories!

Meanwhile Bernd and his groomsmen were getting ready in another house nearby.
And we all headed to Land’s End for some portraits before the ceremony.

And then it was time to head over to Cliff House!
Family members played and sang them down the aisle. A served as a flowergirl, and B and his cousin served as ringbearers.
The sun even peeked out for a moment!
Party time!
Many rounds of toasts, a delicious meal, and they danced the night away.
Congratulations to Karla and Bernd and your whole family! It was such a pleasure to be a part of this day.
