They met on twitter before twitter was even popular. Both software developers, Jane and Kevin found their perfect matches in one another. They share a love of cartoons and comics, which was manifested in an Adventure Time-themed cake at their wedding. They also love their adopted cat, who willingly supervised the scene as they got ready together in their San Francisco apartment. And Jane especially loves the ocean and the beach, which was featured perfectly on this sunny day on the San Francisco coast. All in all, it was a wonderful adventure of a day filled with character and personality.
I love the combined volume and simplicity of Jane’s dress. Jane says she’s not much of a girly girl, but she definitely did an amazing job putting thought and personality into all the details of the wedding day.
Jane’s hair and makeup were done by LiAnn of A-List Makeup and her florals by Green Snapdragon. I love that they incorporated Adventure Time and other cartoon characters all over the place, including this little fellow tucked in the bouquet!
We stopped by Baker Beach for some portraits in the afternoon. Because the weather was so nice outside, the beach was packed, but I sneakily cropped or blocked most of the people out. Love these classic San Francisco portraits!
Kevin surprised Jane with a beautiful sea glass necklace, which set her off into a couple graceful tears.
More cartoon characters tucked away in succulent centerpieces, plus a super cute ring shot! The groom’s ring says “Jane” twice, once in English and once in Korean, but represented in binary code.
Adventure Time wedding cake! The cake itself was a banana cake, much like banana bread. Pretty amazing!
A lovely ceremony by the sea. Cliff House is a classic San Francisco venue.
