Mairin & Nikhil, Part 2 of 2 | Hindu Ceremony & Reception | Rhode Island Wedding Photography
After the Catholic church ceremony in the afternoon, the stage was set for Mairin and Nikhil’s Hindu ceremony by the ocean. The mandap was adorned with colorful flowers and gorgeous silks that billowed gracefully in the wind. Traditional Indian music played softly in the background, evoking another time and place. From the moment Mairin walked down the aisle in her new Indian sari, the entire wedding was enchanted. The guests were held spellbound, and every gesture was imbued with tradition and new meaning. It was truly breathtaking.
Mairin was absolutely stunning in her full Indian attire.
The priest led the couple and their families through a series of symbolic ceremonies, explaining each as he went.
Symbolic gifts were given from each side of the family, including from the groom’s grandmother who had traveled from India to attend the wedding.
Belle Mer was an incredible venue, especially for these portraits right at sunset.
This incredible sunset shot was captured by my second shooter Roberto Farren. So gorgeous!
Finally, here is their gorgeous wedding video, created by our sister company Seaglass Cinema.
