I just love how happy Caterina and John are when they’re together. They are giddy with excitement and absolutely unstoppable. They first met in a dining hall, freshman year at Harvard, and they quickly became friends. Senior year, friendship turned to courtship, and soon after, they both got into their top choice medical school, UC San Francisco. And so they moved to California together, and they grew up together. In their spare time from becoming doctors, they also shared a love for triathalons. They ran marathons, cycled through the countryside, and swam for miles. And Caterina also baked lots of tasty goodies along the way. Their wedding was filled with beautiful simplicity, and it was such a delight to be a part of it all.

The first look was absolutely adorable, as Caterina calmly walked up behind John and then surprised him with a tickle attack.
The gorgeous florals were done by Chelsea Bowman, whom I’ve gotten to work with many times!
John’s sister did a fantastic job serenading the guests with her impressive piano playing.
The table numbers reflected many of places Caterina and John both love, and the favors were heart shaped measuring spoons, perfect reflections of Caterina’s love for baking.
I loved seeing some of the photos from Caterina and John’s engagement session, both framed and in their engagement guest book that I created for them.
Both mothers greeted guests as they arrived.

It also happened to be the night of the supermoon! A lovely sunset to go with the lovely wedding.
