Grace & Andy | Rengstorff House | Bay Area Wedding Photography
I absolutely loved Grace and Andy’s unconventional approach to their wedding. Everyone says your wedding day flies by too quickly, said Andy, addressing the crowd. So we decided to drag this out as long as possible. They went for a two-day affair. Day one was an adorable ceremony and outdoor party at the Rengstorff House in Mountain View. Guests lounged around outdoors, played lawn games, and dinner and desserts from food trucks. Day two was a Chinese banquet reception, complete with all the traditional reception events like toasts, cake cutting, and dancing. Fun all around!

Love Grace’s Manolo Blahniks with those graphic cutouts.

Tina was on hand to help Grace get ready.

A card from Andy gets her all teary eyed.

Meanwhile, similar scenes unfold in the guys’ room two floors away.

Love the unplanned symmetry of all these scenes!

After a lovely grin-filled first look, Tina and Bailey joined in for some portraits too.

Then we headed to the wedding venue, the historic Rengstorff House in Mountain View.

Time for fun & games, eats & treats!

Grace’s dad built these cornhole boards.

It was so great to see Christine and Scott again. I photographed their Napa wedding two years ago. (Grace and Christine are cousins, and if you look closely you might spot Grace in the getting ready photos!) I also got to meet baby William for the first time, and it happened to be his first birthday on that very day. Small world!

This was a really impressive dessert spread made by Wendy, a friend of the couple.

You know how much I love magic hour/sunset portraits. These are so yummy in the golden California light!

And we wrapped out day one with the most adorable dessert truck I’ve ever seen. Delicious too!

Day two was a traditional Chinese banquet at Dynasty Chinese Restaurant in San Jose. That cake topper is the cutest. Tina! Bailey! It even has Grace’s white flower in her hair.

The best man speech was complete with props!

Congratulations, Grace & Andy! I had a lot of great time with you two- double fun & double happiness!
