Burano, Italy
As a quick day trip from Venice, we took a vaporetto, a ferry boat, to the neighboring islands of Burano and Torcello. Burano is known for its colorful houses and handmade lace, and Torcello is the oldest continuously populated island in the Venetian Lagoon.
I made a collection of all the colorful houses!
Burano is also known for its handmade lace, which was on display in many of the small shops on the island.
Another quick vaporetto ride took us over to Torcello, known for its history.
And then we were back to Venice and soon off to our next destination in Italy: Cinque Terre!
