Fourth of July in NYC
I was just in NYC again last weekend, but here’s a little overview of my previous visit back in July. I arrived on the Fourth of July and got prime access to the Macy’s fireworks show; hung out with friends and indulged in some good eats; and wandered the Flatiron district, the Whitney, and the entire High Line. See it all below:
Thanks to Joy, we had access to the Macy’s Independence Day fireworks, complete with tv anchors asking people to cheer and the actual live military bands accompanying the fireworks show.
Sunday brunch at Maison Premiere.
A visit to Mu Ramen.
Dinner on Frank & Michelle’s rooftop.
Fishs Eddy, the quirkiest tableware shop.
ABC Home & Carpet, a huge superstore of home decor and other random, pretty stuff.
The New Whitney, with its modern American art housed in a gorgeous light-filled building with views of Manhattan.
Yifan met me in the bookstore, and then we walked up the entire High Line, which was just recently expanded.
And finally, we capped it off with fried chicken at Pies & Thighs.
Til next time!
