Summertime in Philadelphia
Rooftop views, summer pop-ups, cute restaurants, and lots of awesome art installations. Summertime in Philly.
Gorgeous views over the city from Le Bok Fin, a temporary pop-up at the former technical school.
I made a half-hearted attempt to get a pizza from Pizzeria Beddia, which was recently crowned the Best Pizza in America by Bon Appetit. They only make 40 pies a day, which usually sell out immediately at 5:30pm the 4 days of a week that they’re open. But when I arrived, I also found out that ordering a pizza at 5:30 still means you get to wait until 10pm before you can even pick up said pizza. Fail. I gave up on the idea.
Very cute al fresco dining at Talula’s Garden.
Spruce Street Harbor Park, one of a million pop-up beer gardens (Philly’s favorite summertime phenomenon).
Tiles and mosaics galore at Philly’s Magic Gardens.
Blockbuster Impressionists exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. An incredible collection of gorgeous paintings from Monet, Renoir, Degas, and more.
The Barnes Collection. A very eclectic private collection housed in a very modern space.
Finally, Nightscape at Longwood Gardens.
