Philadelphia | Summer, 2016

My visits to Philly this summer have been packed with festivals, colorful art, and lobsters! Take a little peek below.

First up, the Italian Market Festival.

The Strawberry Festival in Peddler’s Village. We heard a lady at the strawberry stand proudly declaring, “No, these are not local! The local strawberries were terrible this year.” They were just selling Driscoll’s for $5/pint. Not sure that’s a selling point…

Love the little bar graph these kids are making. And sure enough, after the festival we went to the grocery store down the street, where they were selling the same Driscoll’s strawberries for $2 less. Sold, thanks!

Over to Colman and Amaris’ for barbecue, with their brand new pup BB!

I’m a proud new member of the Philadelphia Art Museum! They offer “Artists Memberships” for just $40/year.

Back again in July for some lobsters! Two for $28 at Oyster House on Wednesdays. We shared one “twin lobsters” meal the first time and then went back the next week to get two lobsters each.
