Alice & Mike | Alamo, California Wedding Photography

They were meant to be together, but they just didn’t realize it at first. They met ten years ago through mutual friends and even worked together briefly. But when they tried dating the first time, it just did not work. Luckily, they remained friends. And by the time they came back around to the idea of dating each other again, everything finally clicked into place. Alice and Mike are completely comfortable with each other, they value their family and friends strongly, and they complement each other perfectly. Some things just take a little time and a bit of a leap of faith. See some glimpses of their beautiful wedding day below.

Alice is a graphic designer, and she poured her heart into every last detail for the wedding! Look at those perfect little illustrations of them and their cat Hobbes.

We began the day with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony.

The bride and groom honor each of their family members by serving them tea, and the family members give generous red envelopes, advice, and gold jewelry(!) in return.

So much gold.

Then, it was time to change into Alice’s white dress for the main ceremony.

The illusion mesh and all that delicate lace and tulle suited her perfectly.

The bridesmaids all had matching jewelry designed by the Matron of Honor Shelby.

More adorable illustrations!

After the ceremony we went for a little joyride around the golf course and caught some beautiful light in the trees.

And then it was time to head in to the reception.

Alice also made these little crocheted bunnies. Not only were there two macaron towers, but there were two cakes too!

Shelby gives her speech, which she’s purportedly been planning since 2012.

Laughter and tears! The best mixture.

Congratulations, Alice & Mike! What a lovely wedding celebration.
