Alexandria & Tom | San Francisco City Hall Wedding
Alexandria and Tom met as juniors at UC Berkeley when they took a film class about monster movies together. They’ve lived together in Berkeley for the decade ever since. When it came time to think about marriage, they decided to forego the big wedding and just invite their family members to join them for a day of celebrations around San Francisco. We had a beautiful day, starting from the Fairmont Hotel, having the actual ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, and then heading to the San Francisco Botanical Garden for some portraits and nature time in one of their early date spots. See some highlights of the day below.
I love that my couples have been wanting more casual, less staged ‘first looks’ lately. In fact, I had just brought Tom out to this garden when Alexandria happened to walk by and see him. So sweet!
Next, the whole family piled in to the party bus to get the couple married at City Hall. Gorgeous as ever.
The moms signing on as official witnesses!
City Hall recently started enforcing having groups of more than six guests have their ceremonies in the ceremony room next to the clerk’s office rather than out in the open spaces like the rotunda. But it’s still a nice space, and we had plenty of time to get portraits in the other locations afterwards.
Next, we visited the San Francisco Botanical Garden inside Golden Gate Park. It was one of the spots Alexandria & Tom visited a lot when they first started dating, and it was the perfect place to explore with their families and for some more nature-filled portraits.
Congratulations, Alex & Tom!
