Christine & Hanlin | Pie Ranch, Pescadero Wedding Photography

Christine and Hanlin have have known each other since high school, although it didn’t always register (to Christine) that there might be interest beyond a friendship. But their relationship developed over years of staying in touch, visiting each other in Boston and New York, and eventually, daily chats, until Hanlin worked up the courage to have The Talk. Well, seventeen years after they first met, here we finally were, gathering with their friends and family to celebrate their marriage!

Christine and Hanlin chose Pie Ranch in Pescadero as their wedding venue, having explored it on a road trip before. And with their passion for social justice, they paid extra attention to the vendors they hired, highlighting the causes that each vendor champions and supporting POC- and women-owned businesses wherever they could. The whole day was beautiful, heartfelt, and incredibly thoughtful down to every last detail. See just a glimpse below.

The day began seaside in Half Moon Bay, with a ‘first look’ behind the hotel where they got ready.

Next, we were off to Pie Ranch in Pescadero, where the wedding day would take place.

The florals by Amidst Flowers were absolutely gorgeous throughout.

I love the simple touch of a bundle of lavender tied with ribbon, aligning all the posts from the ceremony site down to the reception area.

They were grilling dinner onsite, with the smoke providing this soft lighting ambiance throughout the afternoon.

Star Trek references and an encouragement to keep caring too much, loving too much.

After cocktail hour, it was time to ring the dinner bell (literally) and invite guests to their seats.

Thoughtful gifts for the guests, such as these warm blankets and flip flops too.

Love the gold-rimmed glassware and all of the tabletop details.

At each place setting was a menu and a full sheet about the wedding vendors Christine and Hanlin chose to work with and each of the causes they support.

While guests were enjoying their (very delicious) meals, we borrowed the bride and groom for a few sunset portraits.

Wedding bands and Star Trek cufflinks!

And then it was time for toasts from the parents and siblings, with plenty of laughter to go along.

At the end of the night, the party moved into the barn for a hot chocolate bar, whiskey tastings, a pie cutting (it’s Pie Ranch after all!), and dancing.

Congratulations, Christine & Hanlin! What a wonderful celebration.
